Jemima Ojo

Jemima Ojo is an Associate in the Firm’s Dispute Resolution, Energy and Natural Resources and Corporate and Commercial Governance Practice Groups. She is a versatile Corporate and Commercial Lawyer with experience supporting clients on regulatory compliance, corporate transactions, and dispute-related advisory matters across key sectors, including energy, natural resources, taxation, and trade. As part of her corporate and regulatory practice, Jemima has supported national and international clients on company secretarial matters, due diligence exercises, and regulatory research and reporting.

She has been actively involved in drafting and reviewing a wide range of corporate and commercial documents, including board and shareholder resolutions, letters of engagement, consents, affidavits, and transaction-related documentation. She also assists with the preparation of statutory filings, KYC documentation, and compliance checklists for complex client matters.

Within the Firm’s dispute resolution practice, Jemima supports litigation strategy through legal research, drafting, and case preparation, and assists senior counsel in managing contentious matters and regulatory disputes. Her strong understanding of procedural law and attention to detail enable her to provide effective support across all stages of dispute management. In addition to client advisory, Jemima contributes to the Firm’s business development efforts through the drafting and review of proposals, bids, and client presentations. She also supports stakeholder and client-facing engagements, including meetings, and events.

Jemima brings a commercially informed perspective to her legal practice, shaped by prior experience in product marketing and growth strategy. She is known for her strong research capabilities, analytical approach, and ability to deliver practical, business-focused legal support.

Jemima has held leadership roles in academic and professional organisations, including serving as Chair of the Lagos Model United Nations, where she led research on international legal issues and coordinated a committee of over 25 delegates. She also served as Vice President of the Maritime Society, where she organised industry-focused events, authored and edited legal articles on maritime issues, and facilitated engagement between members and industry professionals. She has also worked as a Consultant at Growdiance, where she organised and facilitated educational webinars on legal and career development, developed training content, and engaged participants through moderated discussions. Her core competencies include legal research and analysis, corporate and commercial drafting, regulatory compliance support, case and transaction management, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and public speaking.
