Ibrahim graduated with an LL.M [Corporate & Commercial Law] degree from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London, England after obtaining his LL.B from the University of Buckingham, England. He was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1990.Ibrahim has worked in a variety of roles in banking, information technology and telecommunications. Ibrahim worked at Kenneth Michael & Co and was on the team responsible for setting up the first Discount House in Nigeria and later rose to become Chairman of the Discount House from 2002 – 2012.
Ibrahim’s was part of the team that set up EMTS Ltd (trading as Etisalat Nigeria) in 2007 and was Vice President for Regulatory and Corporate Affairs with strong focus on competition regulation and telecommunications regulations with a number for key firsts that were introduced to the market. He has a strong focus on Corporate Governance and sits on a number for boards (quoted and private companies) as an independent director
