Organised Private Sector rejects the reduction of the Land Use Charge

The Organised Private Sector, (OPS) on Friday, 19th March 2018 petitioned the Lagos State Government rejecting the reduction to the Land Use Charge rates. Its basis for rejection is that its requests in the formal submission to government had not been addressed. OPS maintained that it had demanded reduction in both or either of the Base Percentage Rate or (and) Assessed Market Value, insisting that the reduction announced by the state government fell short of expectations of the business community. The pressure group threatened that if the state government fail to address its concerns as the mouthpiece of the business community, it would have no other option than to seek redress in court.
